Kerry Howell - Jewelry Design

London based jewellery designer Kerry Howell created a series of 5 striking necklaces for her graduate collection, nothing strange about that apart from these necklaces are made from HUMAN HAIR.

Each piece looking like a delicate strip of lace, the jewelry takes its inspiration from Damask wallpaper patterns and was expertly cut and woven using broken saw blades, with each necklace taking upto 60 hours to produce.

Aptly named 'Attraction/Aversion', the collection is designed to explore how people can feel contrasting emotions simultaneously. Whilst on the body, we adore our hair and spend a lot of time and money looking after it, but once it leaves our head we're suddenly revolted. Kerry's aim was to see if she could make discarded hair attractive once more.

Just make sure you take it off before you get in the bath, because you'd have a job getting that out of the plug-hole.

Coffee Mugs - Product Design

I posted some cool tea cups a while back, but I am more of a coffee girl myself so I had to post some more appropriate LOVELY MUGS.

The first helps you mix your favourite brew to just how you like it by matching the colour guide on the inside.

The second is designed for people who share a kitchen at work. The mug has a hole which can only be plugged by the owners unique key; in effect preventing other people from using it.

This sounds kind of anal to me and I probably wouldn't want to be your friend if you bought one. But I understand office life can get pretty hardcore so perhaps it is necessary after all.

Alexander Bloomwood

I love 'Magnineishion' shot by 17 (yes 17!) year old Russian photographer Alexander Bloomwood.

I can't find a lot of info on him/the shoot, but I love the post production which for me creates a very vintage feeling sense of other worldly detachment -I can't believe I actually just wrote that sentence, but ya get watamsayin- it's cool.

Lissy Elle - Photographer

Lissy Laricchia aka Lissy Elle is a Canadian photographer who plays around with the rules of gravity in her dreamlike fairytale photos featuring girls seemingly suspended in mid air.

who creates magical, paused in motion surreal photos. She plays with the subject, likes to change the rules of gravity and use smart props, location and digital manipulation. Her dreamy photographs are certainly pleasing on the eye, taking you off somewhere for a moment but the world within these images has also an air of mystery.

Weird Things on Google Street View

There is a lot of weird shit going on in the world, something I know more than ever after discovering this blog from 9-eyes.

My favourites are the images where you can't quite tell what is unusual at first, like the Gucci baby, or the guy stuck on the fence. But there are lots more guns and hookers -for those of you that are into that sort of thing- over here.
