I love 'Magnineishion' shot by 17 (yes 17!) year old Russian photographer Alexander Bloomwood.

I can't find a lot of info on him/the shoot, but I love the post production which for me creates a very vintage feeling sense of other worldly detachment -I can't believe I actually just wrote that sentence, but ya get watamsayin- it's cool.

Vintage Book Cover Art Inspiration

I have been thinking about designing something based around some vintage cover art. I have seen it done before and when done well it really looks good.

I have posted lots of similar film posters before here, but this time I thought I would concentrate of book cover art. I got a bit carried away and I could have ended up posting a lot more, maybe I will do another post sometime soon if everyone enjoys it.

Some of these are now real collectors items and can fetch upwards of £500 at auction. I seems like reading was a lot more glamorous back in the day!

Karlie Kloss & Steven Meisel for Dior Spring 2011

I don't think I have ever seen a more perfectly executed modern day pin-up.

The colours, the styling, the photography, the posing, the props, the prints, the post production...pretty much everything in this campaign shot by Steven Meisel and starring Karlie Kloss for Dior's spring 2011 collection works.

It is a shame about the weak designs and Karlie's obviously 'drawn on' lips or this campaign could have been flawless.
