The Terri Timely style staticness created by photographer Sebastian Kim also works really well to set it off.

Giant Anime Robot Placed In Tokyo Centre

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of anime television series 'Mobile Suit Gundam' created and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, a life size Gundam has been created and placed in the streets of Tokyo.

Seriously, how amazing is this? This is the sort of thing that happens in my dreams, all I have wanted since I was a kid was a giant robot. I hope there is a control panel in it's head, I wish I lived in Tokyo so I could try and steal it. Apparently there are more models around the city, but this one is the largest (and therefore the coolest)

Original Fake 4-Foot Dissected Companion

The latest Original Fake 4-Foot Dissected Companion has now been officially announced! It was shipped in very limited (15!) supplies to the Tokyo store last Saturday, which means the release for everywhere else isn't far away -rumours are it's early September!

Yay Toys!

Medicom held their annual Toy Exhibition for 2009 from June 20th to June 29th at Parco Factory in Tokyo. The show displayed countless upcoming releases and projects from Bearbrick,Hello Kitty and Dr. Romanelli,WeSC, Loopwheeler, Levi’s Fenom and many others. I don't know loads about it because I didn't go (not living in Tokyo) but it looks pretty amazing.

Currently being exhibited in the Diesel Denim Gallery Tokyo artist and illustrator Julien Roure's work mixes the mundane with the unexpected and his vectorized images and use of bold colours make his unusual designs all the more resonant. I love how recognizable the human aspects of these works are and the surreal concepts he paints through the placement of other found objects.
