Styled by Grace Coddington, the shoot perfectly presents McQueens ability to elevate the female form above human proportions and into something astonishing.

I don't think I have ever seen a more perfectly executed modern day pin-up.

The colours, the styling, the photography, the posing, the props, the prints, the post production...pretty much everything in this campaign shot by Steven Meisel and starring Karlie Kloss for Dior's spring 2011 collection works.

It is a shame about the weak designs and Karlie's obviously 'drawn on' lips or this campaign could have been flawless.

I wanted to post this editorial photographed by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia March 2011,
mainly on the strength of the amazing cover shot featuring 29 year old Saskia de Brauw, wearing a Macramé lace mini Dolce & Gabbana dress embroidered with Swarovski crystals and silk culottes with intricate 'dazzling' detail.

The mix of colours and prints work so well together to create a really striking image that is just on the right side of over complicated.

The rest of the shoot, styled by Panos Yiapanis is interesting style-wise and I love the set, but it doesn't quite work for me.

I love this amazing 1940's style shoot 'In The Mood' from Steven Meisel for September’s American Vogue. Starring Karen Elson, Coco Rocha, Liya Kebede, Sasha Pivovarova and Viktoriya Sasonkina it does exactly what the title suggests and puts you right back to that bygone era with all of it's refinery and glamour.

I am biased because I love everything to do with the words 'Urban' and 'Decay' (note my email address) But this story from Vogue Italia, which happens to have that same name really is amazing. The lighting! The drama! It really reminds me of work from old school photographers George Hoyningen-Huene and Horst P Horst.
