I just came across this via the Fever Zine Facebook Page and it seems there really is a Zine for everything, even one dedicated entirely to Lindsay Lohan.

I'm not joking. The Wormholes have dedicated 56 pages to 'LINDZINE'

Lady GaGa, Nicola Formichetti, Stephen Gan & Inez & Vinoodh for V #71 Summer 2011

There has been a lot of controversy over the cover for V#71, which features Lady GaGa in an editorial shot by Inez and Vinoodh with creative direction from Nicola Formichetti.

As this was supposed to be the ASIAN ISSUE, shouldn't they have featured an ASIAN MODEL on the cover? I love the styling, but wouldn't have looked just as good on an Asian celebrity or model?

In his defence V Magazine co-founder and creative director Stephen Gan had this to say:

"Honestly, we searched high and low for Asian celebrities, and we seriously did our homework. But stars who are big in Asia rarely come to America, and getting someone shot over there the way we like things done, started to look tougher and tougher. Gaga and I were emailing the day “Born This Way” came out and I said, “You deserve another cover!” It turned out our Summer issue was coming out ten days before her new album was due to hit. And so I turned to Inez & Vinoodh to come up with an idea that showed her as 3 different characters: herself, a Japanese butterfly, and a Bollywood Shiva goddess. This was their idea, and it just seemed to fit so naturally."

Is he seriously trying to tell us that there are no Asian Stars living in America?

Nicki Minaj, Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin For V Magazine Spring 2011

It's good to see Nicki Minaj moving away from her usual face-tourettes look (see here, here and here) in a few of the pictures from this spread for V Magazine's Spring 2011 issue.

Photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and wearing Versace and Mark Fast she really pulls of the zombie body paint.

Natalie Portman & Mario Testino - V Magazine #62 December/Novembe r09

I think Natalie Portman is probably one of the most beautiful women in the world. It is pretty lucky she is so hot because this is a pretty boring and uninspiring shoot for V Magazine #62 November/December. Say what you like about the frequently annoying Lady Gaga, but at least her shoots usually have a concept. The photography is by Mario Testino. You are probably wondering why I am posting it...so am I, but I've already uploaded the pictures now. I love what she is wearing in the last picture though.

MORE Bloody Lady Gaga for V61

Man, V really are milking this.
After more versions of Lady Gaga's cover for immensely hyped V61 were released (this time featuring peel-off Marc Jacobs sunglasses in either bright blue or hot pink)earlier this week. Images from the editorial shot by Mario Testino have also been sent out. She still looks more orange than an actual orange (and a bit like a poodle) but the shoot is fun and I have to admit Gaga has a really hot bod.

V61 Special Edition Covers

Woah! V Magazine really went all out! at least with the model booking. Paul Rowland shot 19 covers in total, for the special edition V61 featuring girls from the “World of Women & Supreme”: Alana Zimmer, Alla Kostromicheva, Behati Prinsloo, Christina Kruse, Daiane Conterato, Darya Kurovska, Georgina Stojiljkovic, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Hannelore Knuts, Iris Strubegger, Isabeli Fontana, Meghan Collison, Mina Cvetkovic, Natasa Vojnovic, Ranya Mordanova, Rose Cordero, Suvi Koponen, Valentina Zelyaeva, and Yulia Kharlapanova -all girls on Women & Supreme Model Management.

The covers were shot the week of April 13th in New York at Pier 59 Studios and were inventively styled by Nicholas Grasa (they feature eyesballs, severed animal feet and intestines as necklaces -sexy right?) with makeup from Janeen Witherspoon and hair by Rita Marmor, Leonardo Manetti for ION Studio, and Franco Gobbi for Bumble & Bumble.

More covers for V Magazine 61 have been released. I originally posted the Lady Gaga one but now Kate Moss and Linda Evangelista covers have been released. The Amber Valletta one was released a few days ago but I didn't think it was good enough to share really. But now there are more you kind of need the whole set. If more are released I'll post them up.

I am getting kinda fed up of reading about Lady Gaga and Kate Moss (who is on and in like every magazine this month) But I had to post this because I wouldn't be being true to myself If I didn't. Now I love fake tan and I love being orange, it is like my signature look.
But -She. Is. Orange.
Like SO orange, like crayon orange. she works it obviously, but I think I found her inspiration below.

Mario Testino is one of my favorite photographers ever. His shots always look so glossy and glamorous but at the same time effortless. This shoot is for V Magazine to show off 2009 Haute Couture looks for summer. I love the obligatory 'fashion boob'. Styling is by Beat Boliger.
