Here is some photography from Bruno Bernardi from Buenos Aires. I decided to post his work after feeling really nostalgic for summer holidays after looking through his Flickr. The textures and colours are just perfect.

Derek Nobbs - Artist

Derek Nobbs draws 'dirty dead sailors' on heavyweight hot-press paper, giving it an aged look with all of the usual artist's vices; coffee, tea, whiskey, tobacco and tears.

I am really glad to have found his work because I think it is just amazing. Inspired by all that nature has to offer, his unique compositions create a wonderful spectacle around his sailors, who each seem to have their own individually intriguing personalities.

Rik Lee - Illustration

Rik Lee lives and draws in Melbourne, Australia. He spends his spare time skateboarding and drawing these amazing illustrations with the help of grey lead pencils, textas, watercolours and his computer.

He has worked for a range of clients including American Express, Nylon, Puma, Wired, Vodaphone, Telstra, Vibe, Vice, Dotti, Clandestine Industries, Hurley, Honour Over Glory and Stussy.

Matthew Brandt - Photography

Matthew Brandt’s Lakes And Reservoirs series are photos of just that -lakes and reservoirs, however he then soaks each print in the body of water that it depicts.

To me this seems like the kind of lame technique I would have employed when grasping at straws during GCSE art, but in fact the water manages to give each photograph a unique abstract quality of color and texture; an almost sculptural quality. So it is like getting two works of art for the price of one really. Lovely.

Elizabeth Barrett, Luke Edge and Hattie Newman for Station Magazine

This spread is actually about a year old now, but I think the prop styling is still pretty forward thinking.

I found it when researching Hattie Newman's work, but it originally appeared in London based indie magazine 'Station'.

Hattie made the props and the shoot was styled Elizabeth Barrett with photography from Luke Edge.

Anatoly Beloshchin - Photographer

Underwater photographer Anatoly Beloshchin has been diving since he was 12. He takes photos of the sort of scenery most people could only imagine; desolate deep-sea scenes, tinged with iridescent blues, golds and greens.

Some of the textures created by the rocks are absolutely incredible, they remind me of the sort of secret, underwater lairs bad guys would have in spy films.
