Lissy Elle - Photographer

Lissy Laricchia aka Lissy Elle is a Canadian photographer who plays around with the rules of gravity in her dreamlike fairytale photos featuring girls seemingly suspended in mid air.

who creates magical, paused in motion surreal photos. She plays with the subject, likes to change the rules of gravity and use smart props, location and digital manipulation. Her dreamy photographs are certainly pleasing on the eye, taking you off somewhere for a moment but the world within these images has also an air of mystery.

Coralie Bickford-Smith - Cover Designer

Coralie Bickford-Smith studied typography at Reading university and is now a senior cover designer at Penguin Books where she has created some of the most beautifully designed covers I have seen in ages.

Her simplistic approach to pattern and spot-on use of colour, make me want to buy all of these sets just to display them

Swarovski - Short Film

A hella cheesy, but equally beautiful short film from Swarovski (which at one point I thought was going to turn into a Scottish Widows Advert) and director Aveillan Bruno, filmed at a salt lake outside of Ankara Turkey.

Daniel Egneus - Illustrator

The work of watercolour illustrator Daniel Egneus is so imaginative. His beautiful female/animal hybrids are my favourite pieces; anyone who can make someone look elegant while wearing a giant grab hat has to have some serious talent.

Born in 1972 in Sweden, Daniel has spent 20 years all over Europe in Prague, London, Berlin, Bologna and Rome, he now works in Milan.

Finnish Denise Grünstein is another photographer I absolutely love, her slightly whimsical, fairytale style is similar to that of Tim Walker and her pieces are often recognized for their characteristic romanticism and links to flora and fauna.
