Maskull Lasserre - Artist

Canadian artist Maskull Lasserre creates secret anatomical sculptures within everyday objects in an attempt to explore their hidden potential and force us to re-think the things we are most familiar with.

I think they just look cool. Whatever the reasoning behind it you can't deny this guy is a master of his craft and he certainly who knows his way around a bit of wood.

Nobuhiro Nakanishi - Artist

I really love this work from Japaneses artist Nobuhiro Nakanishi who describes it in his own words as “the physical that permeates into the art piece.”

Produced in laser print, mounted on plexiglass acrylic, Nakanishi layers his canvases to produce beautifully intriguing installations; where foggy landscapes flow into one another, creating an infinite sense of space.

Land Securities & Radford Wallis Make an Impact With Their Giant Stationary Space Dividers

This is an example of a brilliantly creative solution to a pretty mundane problem.

Property developer Land Securities were looking to split up office space they owned into four sections and let it out to four separate companies.

To demonstrate clearly how the space would be divided out to potential tenants, agents Radford Wallis went for maximum impact by creating four scaled-up stationery items, positioned where the partitions would eventually be built.

This fantastic idea looks like an art installation in itself and would definitely make me look twice at the space. A giant pink marker certainly has the edge over temporary plasterboard patricians or something similar. If I was moving in I would ask for them to stay!

My Favorite Landscape by Paul Destieu - Art Installation

'My Favorite Landscape' is an art installation by Paul Destieu, which includes 500 offset prints of one of the most common Windows’ XP desktop backrounds 'Green Hill' in an attempt to make fun of the dreaded 'screen freeze'.

Kate MccGwire - Artist

Sluice is a really amazing art installation by Kate MccGwire that uses pigeon feathers, felt, glue and polystyrene to create the illustion of motion as 'sluice' billows out from a pipe.

I just found these random notes that some guy called Craig has been leaving around the streets of Melbourne. I dunno if it is art of just the rambling of a mentalist but people with a lot of time on their hands are always the most funny. Click to Enlarge them.




Some copycat guy called Chris also started doing some in New York. I think you should do some, you seem the type.

Georges Rousse - Optical Illusion Instalations

Ok so this sort of thing has been done before, but that doesn't make it any less impressive and French photographer and artist Georges Rousse's clean cut graphical style makes these optical-illusion, installation photographs have real impact.

Rousse has just finished filming his documentary 'Bending Space' (trailer below the pictures) which features some pretty awful lounge/lift muzak at the beginning but then, thankfully, moves on to details of his techniques and 200 strong group of artist volunteers which takes your mind off it a bit.

Ogilvy & Mather's Amazing Campaign For Ben & Jerry's

I can't work out if sleeping in the bedroom created by ad agency Ogilvy & Mather for the latest Ben & Jerry's campaign would be really amazing or really scary.

These awesome ads, by the Singapore firm are brilliantly surreal and completely self aware.

Clemens Behr -What a Legend

Everyone has been hyping Clemens Behr for a few weeks now and I have to say it is definitely justified.

His installations are both confusing and exciting at the same time, seemingly breaking the barriers between dimensions it is sometimes hard to tell if you are looking at an amazingly talented 2D artist or if shapes really are coming out at you.

The artist, who currently lives in Barcelona, uses black bin bags,cardboard boxes, masking tape and other cheap, household objects to produce something aesthetically exciting and that personally, I love.

Dzia Krank

I was so excited to find Dzia Krank today! A street artist from Antwerp, Belgium, his work is both brutal and mysterious.

Obviously as someone who hides his identity and uses the city as his canvas, comparisons with the new media darling Banksy will occur. But Dzia's signature Donnie Darko style 'Mr. Bad Breath Bunny' gives his work a more sinister tone and the creatures he creates manage to be nightmarish and beautiful at the same time.

He is currently working on his new handmade zine 'Krank' which comes out every two months and is produced to promote talent and showcase the outsider art scene.
