Stina Persson - Illustrator

Stina Persson is an illustrator based in Stockholm, Sweden whose clients include Coca Cola, Absolut Vodka, Sony and DKNY.

I love how her use of colour and tone work uniquely to create quite a striking graphic feel, something which is softened gorgeously with the use of varied brush strokes.

She has also worked for some of my favourite magazines Vogue Nippon, Harper's Bazaar, Flaunt, Elle UK and Nylon amongst others.

Mystery In The Moonlight - Harper's Bazaar UK

This brilliant shoot for Harper’s Bazaar UK's November edition by photographer Michelangelo di Battista, also features some siiiick horror style illustration by Jon Rogers and amazing 1950s B-movie styling by Alison Edmond.

I love it when art directors don't just reply on big names like model Claudia Schiffer to sell a shoot, but instead come up with inventive concepts like this one which is just so cool.

Obviously I was going to love New York based fashion and beauty photographer Jamie Nelson's work as it has been featured in two of my favourite magazines Plastique and Nylon (as well as Spanish Harper's Bazaar and Italian Vanity Fair amongst others.

Tim Walker & Tim Burton For Harper's Bazaar October 2009

Two of my favourite Tims come together for this Halloween spread in the latest issue of American Harper's Bazaar.

The editorial shot by Tim Walker celebrates Tim Burton’s long and varied career in film making with references to some of his most famous characters, Edward Scissorhands, Jack Skellington and Winona Rider In Beetlejuice.

The shoot was styled by Jacob K, with models Malgosia Bela, Sophie Srej and Evelina Mambetova.

Top Designers On Sesame Street

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street Harpers Bazaar have brought some top designers onto the set. Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Diane Von Furstenberg, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, Oscar de la Renta, Thakoon Panichgul, Toys and Vera Wang were all involved as well as some of the shows best known characters. Photographer - Monika Robl

MMonika Robl was born in Germany and now works in Paris. She studied art and design as well as photography, something a lot of my favourite photographers seem to have in common. She has worked for German Vogue, Italian Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and GQ among others. Her website seems to be down at the minute, but here is the link anyway. I love the bleached out skin in contrast with the other colours. It reminds me of Matthew Shave's work, but with a much cooler tones -gorgeous!

Naomi Campbell in Wild Things For US Harper's Bazaar

Naomi Campbell is pretty impressive in “Wild Things”, a shoot for the September issue of US Harper's Bazaar.

Photographed Jean Paul Goude -who is most famous for his work with Grace Jones in the 80s- she manages to look perfectly at home amongst an elephant, a cheetah and even sat on top of a crocodile. I'm guessing there is a fair amount of digital trickery involved along the way, but the shoot manages not to look contrived at all and Campbell shines throughout. To be honest though, I would sit on a crocodile no problem to get access to some of the clothes she is wearing (and her pay packet).
