Perfect Timing From Denis Darzacq

These photos by Paris based photographer Denis Darzacq make me want to just stop dead and look at them, to examine exactly what is going on and how the heck this genius has been achieved.

Frankly I am blown away by the simple yet amazingly effective (and probably painstaking) techniques he uses to get such visually arresting shots. The best thing about this collection is the lack of fancy wires or clever photoshopping, just dancers and sportsmen improvising movement while Denis patiently waits with his camera to capture one perfectly timed frame.

When I first saw these shots I immediately imagined the individual situations that could result in someone crashing headfirst into the ground or flying through a supermarket (conclusions usually involved suicide or Ouija boards...)
