Pierre Dal Corso - Photography Updates

I have featured Paris-based fashion photographer Pierre Dal Corso here previously, but since then his portfolio has loads of lovely new work in it. I have posted some gems below.

Paris, London, Barcelona and Beijing by Gustav Johansson

I have been desperate to live in Barcelona ever since I went inter-railing when I was 18 and this short video series directed by Gustav Johansson for Education First: Live the Language did nothing but encourage me.

The videos were shot in Paris, London, Barcelona and Beijing and are kind of cheesy at times but they feature some great typography work and manage to present a reasonably accurate portrayal of life in a different city.

If anyone in Barcelona needs a blogger let me know!

Monsieur Qui - Artist & Illustrator

Monsieur Qui describes himself as a 'French person who loves cats, dogs, handmade works, brass bands and pastes big posters in the streets of Paris.'

I describe him as really good.

Emma Pick - Photographer

Emma Pick lives and works in Paris and has been published in magazines such as Vogue, Rolling Stone and Vice UK. She studied film and photography at the University Louis Lumière, looking specifically on the represention of women in the arts.

Artist - Karen O'Leary

This is such a simple idea, that looks really cool. But is something most people with little to no patience (hello me) would manage to fuck up.

There is loads of art-crap being said about this work from artist Karen O'Leary in which she cuts out maps of New York, Paris and London to do with positive and negative space and it's significance. But I just think they look really cool. Like giant spidersweb/crazy spaceage doilys.

Photographer - Monika Robl

MMonika Robl was born in Germany and now works in Paris. She studied art and design as well as photography, something a lot of my favourite photographers seem to have in common. She has worked for German Vogue, Italian Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and GQ among others. Her website seems to be down at the minute, but here is the link anyway. I love the bleached out skin in contrast with the other colours. It reminds me of Matthew Shave's work, but with a much cooler tones -gorgeous!
