Ricardo Fumanal from Madrid, Spain has some obvious skills with a pencil. Taking inspiration from fashion magazines, he manages to re-create flawless skin, fabric and hair textures with the most subtle and controlled shading. The magazine covers are from a while ago, but he has recently updated his blog with more resplendent works and here they are.

Jacques Olivar - Photographer

Jacques Olivar was born in Casablanca and began working in fashion in 1987. He has since worked for a whole host of fashion's top magazines including; British Vogue, Uomo Vogue, French Glamour, German Vogue, Vogue Homme International, French and Italian Marie-Claire amongst others.

I love how his pictures work to create a narrative around his subjects, and his inspired use of tone and lighting transform run down or everyday locations into somewhere sumptuous and elegant.

Nicola Formichetti's Muse Rick Genest AKA Zombie Boy for Vogue Hommes Japan

I wonder how long the media's obsession with Nicola Formichetti’s male muse Zombie Boy AKA Rick Genest will last?

I personally think he looks amazing so here is a Mugler spread for Vogue Hommes Japan, the magazine where Formichetti works as fashion director. Formichetti, of course, styled the shoot, which was shot by photographer Mariano Vivanco.

I love model Jana K's inventive hairstyle in this cover for L'Officiel Paris by Enrique Badulescu


Travis Hanson looks super bendy and super gay styled by Nicola Formichetti in nothing but Gareth Pugh boots for the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan shot by by Steven Klein.



Edward Enninful styled this cover for i-D magazine featuring some of the most beautiful black models around at the minute: Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, Arlenis Sosa and Sessilee Lopez. The cover was shot by Emma Summerton. I know winking is the i-D trademark but they all look a bit like they're having a stroke...

Hedi Slimane for Vogue Japan

'The Americans' is a shoot from the March issue of Vogue Hommes Japan by Hedi Slimane, with great styling by Nicola Formichetti. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous throughout so I had to share it. I am not sure what the significance of putting the model Victor Chambon in a wolf mask while he is holding two American flags is but I can probably take a guess. What do you guys think?
